Bricks
suck! Bring back large stones as building blocks!
Bricks
are aesthetically unpleasant. From time immemorial they have been
used as building blocks for buildings we live in. And yet there were
civilisations of old that used to employ very large stones as
building blocks for their buildings they used to live in.
Say
that you are visiting an ancient city on your tourist trip to
enjoy the aesthetics of the civilisations of the past. Then you gaze
upon these monstrosities:
Don’t
worry, modern day bricks are just as unpleasant.
Sure
we can paint them and pretend that they are beautiful to look at, and
then we keep repainting them over and over over the course of our
lives, only to leave behind ruins that will disappoint tourists 5000
years from now.
It
wasn’t always like this. Some people managed to leave behind ruins
that are still a joy to behold, and are very unique. Notice the size
of their building blocks, and of the buildings in general:
Larger
building blocks. More beautiful. Aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
These remains will last longer, and also don’t require people to
paint them every other year till they die.
Notice
how the wailing wall looks beautiful with larger blocks on the
bottom. Look how bad the smaller blocks look on top.
I
am sorry but this is ugly!
Horrible!
These so called modern buildings!
These
so called modern buildings are also fragile and prone to easily
deconstruct, and their lifetime is also short, primarily due to small
building blocks with cheap material. We are also reaching cultural
zombiness all over the world. Nearly every city is the same. Gone are
the days of originality and superior structure that stood for
thousands of years.
However,
like i said, in the past people used to build horrendous structures
too:
Truly
atrocious! Look at those disgusting bricks!
Much
better!
Ban
Bricks! They are bad for the
environment!
