Well I'm a student of history, biology and current affairs. And it certainly can feel like man is nothing but a cruel beast when you study those topics.
But then again the people around me are not that bad too me. So I can feel grateful for that. Problem is that I'm pretty socially isolated, so I don't really benefit from the niceness of ordinary community people around me, assuming they are nice.
I think its good to intellectually understand the cruelty of the human species, and then be grateful and pleasently suprised when humans around you are not that bad. Like even as an asocial hermit NEET like me. I can be grateful just that I can walk the streets in peace. Through many places and times, even that was a luxury.

This is just based on morality, a subjective idea based on perception. You want the evil to go away? Okay, since you cannot make the actions such as wars stop just remove the evil seen in it. "Another war in country x" instead of thinking "Oh wow, of course, there's so much evil that exists" just acknowledge the event and move on.
