China and Japan have always been bitter enemies, ever since some chinese moved to Japan islands thousands of years ago and formed a proto-japanese culture. Over the course of thousands of years, bitter enmity and many wars have been fought between the two. China is getting powerful and now wants to exert its influence and invade Japan, perhaps use North Korea as its proxy. Remember, Japan is USA's proxy these days (after they surrendered to Americans).
